Garden Studio

 

The Garden studio was built for a small family to provide additional storage, a working space and a utility area for maintenance to the garden.  It is built from an inner shell of reclaimed shipping pallets, sourced from the neighbouring retail units, and is externally cladded with reclaimed weathered pine boarding. Crittal entrance doors were also reclaimed, stripped, re-glazed and paint finished.  The studio incorporates various other experimental building systems such as the rubber roof membrane direct bonded to Portuguese cork insulation, in order to eliminate any onsite cutting of ply sheathing boards; and hand-sawn wood wool boards to further help with insulation, acoustics and lateral stability.
